bingegamer.net— LucasArts has announced that they will be developing all future cross-platform titles on the PlayStation 3, and porting them to the Xbox 360.

this was predicted early on when everyone was heavily analyzing the PS3 and 360 innards and specs. One dev even flatly said Sony made the PS3 initially hard to devlop for so devs would have to either devote all their resources to a PS3 dev cycle or spend more money o both platforms. Luckily for MS they made 360 ultra easy to port to.
As a self described MS fanboy I will tell you that if MS releases their next console at the end of 2009 I am DONE with them. Four years is not long enough for a console especially considering half of the install base has only had their console for about a year. I bought the original Xbox on launch day, the 360 on launch day, but I will skip the 720 for good if it releases before year end 2010.
PS3 forces you to code things to run at the same time, and to use new techniques not seen before that are both complex and powerful. Those techniques make the game more powerful on the 360 as well.
Doshindude, I believe that you are incorrect about the dev kit being "terrible".The real issue is that games must be coded in such a way that most small, fast calculations are done by the SPE's rather than the processor, and at the same time. That is not easy on almost all Dev kits.
