Desktop wise I discovered one that's open source and available on ..everything desktop wise I think, but for me it seems to do the job. It's somewhat bizarrely called Spaz and there's a OSX theme for it called Leopaz that makes it sit ok on my picky MacBook at least.It IS an AIR app mind, but does growlish notifications, not groups though I don't think (still playing with it).

Just tried iphone version.It looks nice but is very slow and prone to crashing. Needs a 'tweet' button without forcing you to scroll to the top.Nice read/unread indicator and counter badge somewhereNeeds snap to oldest unread
