underground-history.co.uk— A fascinating site with many pictures detailing disused and 'lost' stations on the London Underground Network.

I stumbled across this site a few years ago. Being a regular tube user I was facinated to learn that I travelled past all these unused stations.I helped this bloke identify the "Helix escalator" that he pictures on his site.
Has anyone read the book _Neverwhere_ by Neil Gaiman? A fantastic novel set in the world below London. The abandoned Tube stations play a prominent role, and it's a fantastic read. If you haven't read it yet, check it out at a public library near you :)

Sorry to double-post, but on the topic of hidden and abandoned urban locations this story appeared on the BBC News website recently:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4831530.stm

According to the TfL site, you don't need permission if it's for non-commercial use.

What an interesting and historical website. The idea is quite original and I would never wonder that could be such tings in the underground.
