Strange how the first version that tried to raise £5000 failed completely yet this one reached that target at 10:06 - just over three hours! Now at 19:15 it is at ... £ 32,781.66. ($55401.0054) - And still climbing!Remember the original idea was for just five buses for a month - at this rate we will be able to do it for a year.

What if God was one of usJust a slob like one of usJust a stranger on the busTrying to make his way home?----------------------------------------I love it, and hope with all this dosh the campaign can be extended. It is time for those who are non-religious to push back against those who claim to be the majority.I don't mind about others having their faith, but when there are attempts to put a religious slant on public policy and to impose their faith onto other non-believer's lives, enough is enough. Once they cross the line into being political, the previous inhibition to ridicule their beliefs is removed. It all becomes fair game then.

They've smashed the £100,000 barrier now. I'm not sure how much that is in US $ (I'm not American) but it must be close on $200k?

The pound has dropped against the dollar, so it is now only $173,800. Still, an amazing amount of money, and I hope that atheists can now turn to supporting the campaign against faith schools - http://www.justgiving.com/faithschools
