for people who actually DJ, this title (by no fault of the author) is a little misleading, DJ is part of the name of the product and the actual device has nothing to do with DJs or Turntablism. Just a heads up.

"If you use Rogue Amoeba's Airfoil, you can send any audio to the Airport Express you want. There are both Mac and Windows versions:"This is actually very good to know. Thank you!

Cheaper solution: Check out Squeezebox from Slim Devices (www.slimdevices.com). It costs around 249 for the wired version and 299 for the wireless version (WiFi 802.11g). Here a link to a review at silentpcreview.com: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article287-page1.htmlI myself am still analyzing both Squeezebox and this new device from Logitech to see which one fits my needs better. I am leaning towards the wired Squeezebox because I can just plug it in to my wireless bridge.

My first thought is: garbage. If I wanted an LCD that shows my playlists, I can use my computer.

Dude, that would be a great application for the gp2x, only I think you would need wifi, blutooth, or IR. Of coarse these area all possible with the gp2x, only it would require you to plug in a usb dongle which would make it a lot less handy, still I would love if someone took up this project, if nothing else then to get it ready for the next gen gp platform, rumored to have wifi onboard.

I just read all of these several month old comments, and most of you have no experience with this product, just speculation. I just purchased one, and while it is magnificent at what it does, it is completely dependent on it's music searching software (that the pc stores, but the handheld displays). Before the software update, which is currently beta, you had to scroll through each and every one of your items. No matter how you displayed it. Sucks for your Zappa and Zoolander Soundtrack, White Stripes or Yanni! But Abba and Ace of Base are easy to get to.The new update allows you to select A-Z in your scrolling...aaaahhhhhh, so much better. It's a real product now with real potential! Here's how I use it: I have a lan, with a 24/7 file server that holds the management software. It connects to the living room stereo about 30ft away, same floor. I also have a add-on to my main PC which has 5.1 sound on it, so I can use my sound card as a playback device as well. I suppose I'll add another for the bathroom at some point. So far, it's nearing the same capabilities of Sonos, for a fraction of the price!
