Those deer were already dead. Antler lock that deep is a death sentence for both animals. And if the hunters used the meat and the skin, why the outrage? There was no laughing in the video, there was nobody being disrespectful. They didn't torment the deer. Nothing in that video implied anything other than an outdoorsman putting a dying animal out of its misery, and meat on their table at the same time.
I have have never once met a hunter that hunted purely for the sport of it and I know a lot of hunters including the President of the National Field Archery Association, Bruce Cull and celebrity hunter/musician Ted Nugent.
When a deer is shot with an arrow it almost certainly doesn't even feel the arrow penetrate it's body. I have seen deer shot with an arrow and it didn't even look away from the food it was eating, blood just started to poor out of the hole where the arrow passed through and a few seconds later it was over. The reason most deer jump when they are shot with a bow is because of the sound of the string, it's called jumping the string.
For the record, further down in these Digg comments, and in the original Break.com comments, someone posted the cameraman's words that the battery did die before he got to film their hunting party shooting the 2nd buck.

I honestly do not care if you kill things to eat, or to protect yourself. However, any other reason is kind of stupid and wasteful.
