Has anyone played this and loved it? ( Besides Monster Truck ) I loved the idea of the wii from the get go, but the more I think about how I gaming, I think how I like to veg out and play, not swing my arms around.I have a reserve for a system, but after playing the demo, I'm a bit reluctant.
I got a Wii! After seeing the Digg article on the Time Square Toys "R" Us having 7,000 Wii''s I high-tailed it over there. Got there around 1am. The line wrapped around the building and down the block. We got at the end and they apparently weren't taking any more people in the line without a white Wii bracelet or preorder slip. We were about to leave but some guy sold us his bracelets (he had 2) for $20 each. We ended up leaving the store by 3:30am with 4 Wii's. :ODon't hate.Took some video of the line.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpojoVXsS6s
and Zelda, duah!JK man, I completely agree with you, cant wait to play some Wii sports vs my roommates (they're out of town for thanksgiving break). Hopefully by Saturday I will be able to find some more controllers somewhere.
I was there last night it was pretty damn cool. I went after work at about 5:30 pm at which point the line was about 1/2 down 45 St. I didn't get to go in to ToysRUs till about 1:15am. But it was all worth it cause they had a crapload of wiis and everything else you can think of. I just picked up a wii and zelda.
I didn't realize so many people were on here from Rochester. I picked up my preorder from Gamestop in Penfield and then spent a couple hours looking for an extra controller (with no luck). If anybody knows of a place in/near Rochester where I can pick up an extra remote and nun-chuck I would really appreciate it. On a side note- when I was looking for another remote at about 1AM I drove by the Penfield/Fairport Target and saw a group of people camped out for store opening. I didn't realize the store didn't open until 7AM (regular open) so I went over to see when they expected to get inside. When they found out I already got my wii and it was in the car, they asked if they could see it. I ended up taking it out of the box and showing the remote to people. Everybody was really cool about it and I think it gave them added strength to endure the cold and rain for another few hours. Also, it was cool to see other people who were as excited to be getting a wii as I was.And as far as playing the wii goes- it rocks. I'm going back to it as soon as I hunt down an extra controller.
