macosxhints.com — From the link... "Install Arek's OggVorbis QuickTime component, and you can listen to Ogg Vorbis files in QuickTime 7. Tested with QuickTime 7.0.2 and iTunes 5.0.1 on OS X 10.4.2." I just installed it, and it works great.

Rather old news, a lot of Mac users have known about this for a while."Does this also let you play .ogg on the ipod? No. Then it is useless." - BradDeHarderYeah cause you know, no one listens to music at the computer.

Finally :). More players need to integrate Ogg Vorbis. It's an excellent codec, sounds great at lower bitrates (and even better at high), and it's free and open source. There should be no reason any major player should be without it.

Actually, you can (almost) listen to .ogg on your iPodhttp://ipodlinux.org/blog/?p=18I still rip to mp3s, though. Just try and share ogg vorbis with your non-techie friends - they don't appreciate it, since it don't play in WMP.

Finally! Ive been wanting iTunes to play .ogg for a while.. though I cant use this since Im a windows user.. Hopefully, someone will get a Windows version out soon

i use foobar on windows, a cd player, or turntable as your source. no software on mac can play back non-cd audio gaplessly, which is a core requirement of music listening for me (which is also why the ipod and all of its clones [except rio karma] suck ass).

"Except that we all know that Jobs won't ever let a non-proprietary format on his precious little white pod player. The reason is money, and that's all that Jobs cares about."You mean like mp3?

You could always convert the ogg to AAC directly in Itunes. Kinda neat, might degrade a little though. It's an easier way to convert without digging for a converter. Even when you find a converter, you might have to do ogg -> mp3 versus ogg -> aac.
