I am still using the original firmware that shipped with my 4gb iPhone. All I did was jailbreak it and forget it. I have never updated the firmware. The only thing that stinks is now most of the 3rd party Apps require the new firmware. ... guess I will have to figure out how to update it without bricking it...im even an AT&T customer.
Hi fani,Some of these features would be nice. But you can already bluetooth the iPhone to your Garmin nuvi. It has done this from the beginning. I used to have a Nokia N80, and although it worked it did not use all the features. But the iPhone is fantastic with the nuvi and it makes very good use of its features. I really would recommend the iPhone if you have a Garmin nuvi.As you know now you the iPhone has now got a kind of GPS, but since you have a Garmin its not really going to replace the navigation system. In general I would not be over joyed about MMS. It just costs too much for what it is. I would rather be interested in sending video via emails, just like the pictures. Once other phones get more user friendly with emails, then MMS will no longer be of interest to people.Anyway, if you enjoy the phone you have, then your right to wait till you see enough features on the iPhone to justify its purchase.www.eo-creative.com
Until there's an app that can let you receive MMS or at least automatically fetch the message from viewmymessage.com, people will continue requesting MMS. Most people complaining already have the MMS app for sending (I know I do) but there's an almost daily reminder from my friends sending their silly pics to me or even some who have a sig or other formatting on theirs that makes the iphone think it's mms. Pretty annoying to log into that aweful site just to see "see you saturday" with a smiley.
a simple way is to just email pics. at&t, t-mobile, etc have emails associated with them.so if you have a friend with the number 949-555-1234 using tmobile you would send an email (with a pic to):19495551234@[email url associated with tmobile] . i forget what the emails are for the domains but it's easy to look up
