en.wikipedia.org— A bit of Apple here, a whole lot of Rare over there, Hotmail, NTL, RadioShack, Sendit, WebTV, AT&T..... The list just seems to go on and on forever!

Yeh, I noticed this with there Apple investment too. Without the £150m Apple would have probably been in real trouble but as soon as they made friends with Microsoft in 1997 soon after we had the iMac and the new iMay style G4s. They never looked back since then. Microsoft really did them a favor and all of us as well. It was nice of them to feed who are becoming there biggest threat to home desktop domination.
Actually they did it not to promote fair competition, but because if apple had gone south, microsoft would be a monopoly, which would break antitrust and monopoly laws, therefore giving complete control of the microsoft company to the government, microsoft did it to save their own asses, not help someone else
