i was at the time trials last thursday and noticed the penguin while i was doing my laps around the infield garages. another interesting race car is the AMD car.
No need to digg this guy down, he's right. Qualifying speeds were from 218-224mph. This is on fresh tires and only for a few laps. Speeds will be down considerably. The straight speeds weren't 250mph either, not even close to it.
I DON'T CARE if it is NASCAR, or Indy, or your neighborhood boxcar race. You tell people about Linux at every chance. It's working. I personally have heard dozens of non-technical people telling me things like "Oh yeah, I hear that Linux is very good, I got to try it soon...".So take your racing/racecar prejudices and "store" them.We are there dude.
I was at the race until it started pouring rain, and I pulled the tux car in our pool. He came in dead last :( He was the first to crash (right in front of us actually).
