As a full time Ubuntu user I agree that a lot of silly articles like that hit the front page every day, but I think this is an indication of how many new users we have gained over the past few years. Most of them are young, get excited and probably just set up their first blog to join in the community.These authors are not the hackers of old; it's a symptom of growing mainstream acceptance.

No, Linux and Open Source has no place - it has the right to exist everywhere and anywhere, unlike Microsoft and Apple and Closed Source which dictate the places to you.Nobody's telling you it's better, but I prefer software to be good, and available wherever I want to use it.
