I do wonder about the reliability of that - I live in a cathedral city (they're called cities if they have cathedrals in the UK, even if they're not really big enough) called St Albans with a population of around 130,000, and according to google trends, most people who search for 'bbc' live here - http://www.google.com/trends?q=bbc. Do others get that result? Seems somewhat unlikely/inaccurate to me, even if including the city and district is included.
Well your ip address does not give away your location, as far as i know the IP gives away your ISP and the location is somehow linked with that.Does anyone know how IP is related to a location within a country?
Why are you saying that? All I wanted is to show the power of this tool. Nothing else... Have you read what I wrote? It is my personal opinion on a great tool and how it can be used...

Don't be tempted to think that "more searched" = "more diffused"http://www.google.com/trends?q=internet+explorer%2C+firefox&ctab=0&geo=all&date=allI'd like to think that Firefox is roughly used by twice the people use Internet Explorer, but sadly...

love vs. war http://www.google.com/trends?q=love%2C+warIt shows that love wins in the hearts of people, but the news is obsessed with war.
