There are software and device incompatibilities. So I advise against it. Unless you really need the ability to have duplicate tag frames or any of the other benefits.

Why on Earth would anyone want to make Linux look like Windows? Now, on the other hand, I can see the appeal of making it look like OS X.... Mac4Lin ( <a class="user" href="http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin/" rel="nofollow">http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin/</a> ), Gnome Global Menu, and AWN Dock do a good job with that.

Sorry to jump on the bury bandwagon, but Ubuntu can even run off a livecd without being installed at all.. so your point is moot on many levels.
