p2pnet.net— "What if it's true and Linux does indeed infringe on one of more of Microsoft's patents?" - asks Adrian Kingsley-Hughes?

It's all my fault. The other day I was eating lunch at McDonald's when I heard noises behind me. And when I turned around, guess who I saw? That's right, Steve Balmer. He was having lunch with some of the other executives at Microsoft. Out of the blue, he loudly asked his co-workers, "What strategy should I use to cripple the progress of open-source software?"."Why innovate when you can litigate!", I joked with my best Johnny c**krane impersonation. It seemed funny at the time. "Litigate" was the only word that I could think of that rhymed with "innovate". In retrospect, I should have used "masturbate" :(Luckily, the chairs at my local McD's are bolted to the floor. It took awhile before the other Microsofties calmed Mr. Balmer down. Things were uncomfortably quite in there for about 10 minutes until I heard Steve chanting:"Why innovate when you can litigate!""Why innovate when you can litigate!""Why innovate when you can litigate!"He then jumped to his feet and started dancing (sort of), and screaming like a lunatic. Here's the video that I took with my cell phone:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJQk5P-DqUEThe next day, I read about Steve accusing the open-source community of IP infringement. Yeah, I know where he got the idea.I apologize to the entire FOSS community. I am deeply, deeply sorry.
