They are gunning for MCE and MythTV. Frankly, I don't believe they stand much of a chance (just MHO).

I've had a MythTV system up and running for a couple of years now and I love it. The fact is, however, that it is way too hard to get up and running. It took me at least 20 or 30 hours to get it together (included learning Linux itself.)I tried Knoppmyth, etc but still had to wrestle with LIRC, etc. I ended up using Jarod Wilson's excellent guide on Fedora + Myth.I love tinkering as much as anyone else, but I've had enough fun with Myth setup. I'm still running version 0.18 because I'm scared to change anything. The wife would not be pleased if I broke it.This is not a knock on the MythTV project. It is in verison 0.20 for a reason- it is not ready for the general public. If Linspire and Sage can get an install together that works right out of the box, I think it will take off.

I saw a program in the net showing how to get Myth TV going. Unless you do love to tinker (and most people don't) there was a goodly bit of work involved in setting it up. I'm hoping Linspire and Sage really do well with this,it's a great idea...And I'd think it would work out of the box. http://www.linspire.com/lindows_products_details.php?product_id=25472
