arstechnica.com — Two more sites have been fined some $4 million for enabling copyright infringement by linking to illegal movies and TV shows. The MPAA hails the judgments as a victory, even if the sites weren't hosting the copyrighted material themselves.

I know what your saying. Also how long can we continue without holding MPAA members accountable for the violence in their films that lead to a viewer immitating the same acts of violence? The site holder does not make the viewer click the link to the copyrighted material. So what is the difference between that and the old 'Well, the movie did not make them do it.' argument?

You obviously didn't pay attention to the article. They didn't materially distribute copyrighted stuff, they just provided information on how to do it. If you condemn this then you have to condemn providing any kind of information that can be used to break the law. And trust me this is going to limit you freedom of speech dramatically:A:Where's Walmart? B:There.A:Thanks. *Buys a knife and kills people*And B goes to jail for providing information that helped A commit a crime.

You think people spend their WHOLE LIVES making A film? ( pardon me while I lol)I think maybe you didn't or were UNABLE to read my entire post. NOWHERE did I say that they shouldn't make money for the work they do. I was merely suggesting that the way they make movies available to the general public needs to change due to the present technology available. In fact, I believe they could MAKE MORE money offering their product to people at HOME. I would GLADLY pay to watch a film with my boyfriend within the comforts of my own home, I'd even pay a few extra bucks if it came out at the same time they would be releasing it in the theaters.kay? kay.

Hey guys. Friends o fmine created a new site for sharing movies (<a class="user" href="http://movies-tube.net)">http://movies-tube.net)</a> some months ago and i am helping them also. Supposed now they should afraid from the MPAA? What about the iste has only old movies at least 3 years old. Is it the same thing? Anyway there will be a post there telling them to go to the hosting services like veoh and megavideo cause they provide the links
