If you find it pointless and unnecessary, and don't know how it's useful, then why are you still a member? The answer to that question and yours is really, because it's free and so far it doesn't hurt anything. Why NOT have a list of people you know and what they're up to? Sheesh it's not rocket science people, it's useful in that it's a little list of folks you know or sort of know. If you find it lame, then go do your Important Surfing elsewhere!
