thinkprogress.org — Trying to bolster his case for permanent tax cuts, Graham asserted ? without any evidence ? that the federal government ?actually collected more in tax revenue? because of Bush?s tax cuts. But then he made a slightly more jaw-dropping claim: Americans? ?uneasiness? about the economy is perhaps due to their fear that Bush?s tax cuts will expire

So you figure the answer to all ills is to raise taxes? You don't think having 50%+ of your income handed over in some form of tax is enough? Are you a communist? Do you think communism is a viable solution?

What a shameless hit piece. This article is the height of intellectual dishonesty. Tax revenue has gone up since the Bush tax cuts. That is a fact. The economy has grown and jobs increased after the Bush tax cuts. Even after "tax cuts for the rich" the rich pay an ever greater share of the tax burden. Just because he didn't cite his reference doesn't make what he said untrue. His statement is completely accurate, but I suppose the truth doesn't matter to thinkprogress.org.

"This article is the height of intellectual dishonesty. Tax revenue has gone up since the Bush tax cuts."Unintended irony is the funniest kind.Tell us, what was the last year that tax revenues fell?

and how do the 2007 figure compare to 2003? My point is still valid.

Was your point that tax cuts CAUSE revenue increases? Because you haven't shown that. You haven't shown any revenue increases ever. In fact, you have done nothing but make claims based on ... well... nothing. Again, when is the last time revenues fell year to year?

The neo-conservatives that now control the Republican party (not to be confused with true Conservatives) I am just as unhappy with but it would be the height of insanity because of my dissatification to vote for higher taxes by supporting the Democratic party. Democrats have been totally out of control in their quest to endlessly raise every type of tax imaginable with continual blatant disregard for these rough times middle class Americans are experiencing. This is only making a bad situation created from the poor choices of neo-conservatives (unlike true conservatives) bankrupting the country with nation building and unbalanced trade much worse.I expect things to get much worse at the federal level if any of the leading Democrat Presidental candidates that continue to campaign on higher taxes and stealing our money win in November. People really need to stand up and stop this money grab that subsidizes this endless waste and expansion of government at both the state and federal level. (no matter the party)It is not yours to give!
