I'm sure you're using tons of "lousy OSS applications" right now, but you're too much of a zealot to realize it. Are you using Firefox.. that's an OSS application ported to OSX. No, you're a Safari user you say? Well they're using KDE's KHTML/Webcore, which again is more OSS software. I sure hope you're not using Adium (which every Mac user I know is) because that's a port of Gaim/Pidgin for OSX. There are tons of everyday OSX apps that use OSS technology and you're probably running atleast one of them. Also Apple's HIG? Hah! They have inconsistent themes all over the place and they seem to have no issue with breaking their own HIG. I'm not going to post specific flaws you can search for them on the net, I did fine one guy who whines about them a lot on his blog though. http://nslog.com/2003/02/10/mac_os_x_whered_our_ui_go
