torrentfreak.com — Despite being ordered to Cease & Desist and then sued by the RIAA, LimeWire is refusing to cave in to industry pressure and is prepared for a long fight. Installed on an amazing one-fifth of desktops worldwide, LimeWire?s popularity has never been greater and in their battle against the RIAA, millions will be cheering them on.

A virus? Why? Are you downloading 100KB wmv files of full length movies? exe files of Fireflx 3.2? 300KB mp3s encoded at 1053 kbps?I sure as hell haven't gotten any from using it, and sometimes I don't feel like downloading an entire album to get a single song.

"I go to limewire to get the latest virus."Oh, you're full of s**t, or else you run Windows or Mac unprotected. I've never used LimeWire, but my uhh, cough *friend* has never gotten a goddamned thing on it besides music he wanted.

@Darksabre11 - "Only an idiot would pay for something like LimeWire pro"Those "idiots" are what pay the developers to improve Limewire and to help fund the fight against the RIAA.

Both have their uses. BT is good for large files, Limewire is good for small ones (such as single MP3's). I find that I have better luck finding obscure files on Limewire, but others may disagree.

Forget about any spats between the RIAA and Limewire or any other freeload software. You want your tunes and movies so bad, go out and buy them, or rent them. See if your mom and dad will raise your allowance. That might help.

Often I haven't used an anti-virus program and used all kinds of file sharing programs often, including limewire, and the only viruses I ever got came from sharezea, a program I hardly use because of that and also because it's sorting feature is very poor.Stop lying for the RIAA.
