thinkprogress.org — The WP reports that Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) is ?being asked by a local Republican activist to release more than 1,100 e-mails she withheld from a public records request, including 40 that were copied to her husband, Todd.? Invoking a favored practice of the Bush administration, Palin has claimed executive privilege to keep the e-mails secret.

People who claim Executive Privilege only have something to hide.

Note how many Joe Biden scandals there have been in the past few weeks, in comparison.

So? Who doesn't use personal email. Just because she's a public employee, no one has the right to poke their nose into her personal email messages. If you want to know what sweet nothings she sending to her husband, do the right thing. Hack into her ISPs main hub and read everyone's email illegally!! That's how liberals do it.

Personally, I am tired of our elected officials claiming executive privilege to keep information from us, the people who elected them! Politicians are elected by voters, voters are like employers and have a RIGHT to know what their elected officials are doing. At my company we are told upfront all email, web surfing activity and documents stored on the (my) computer belong to the company and can be "inspected" at any time for any reason. Our elected officials are no better than us working people and their office materials should be subject to the same scrutiny as the rest of us.Like they tell me at work..."if you have nothing to hide, what difference does it make".I would also like our officials be subject to random drug testing. Maybe it would help cleanup some of the "drug and sex" scandals in our government.
