thinkprogress.org — Yesterday, Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) spoke at the controversial pastor John Hagee?s Christians United For Israel Washington-Israel Summit. Lieberman, however, says he still has the utmost respect for the pastor, who once said that Hurricane Katrina was punishment to New Orleans for hosting a gay pride parade.

Calling these gas bags "leaders" is pretty weak. Any Christian who wants to call any of them their leader might as well head on down to Anton LeVays house for a smoke and a pancake.

Well, Lieberman is right in comparing Hagee and Moses:They both believe that an invisible man who lives in the sky is calling the shots and will smite all the non-Jews in accordance to his divine plan. 4000 years and 9000 miles separate Joe and Moses, but the bats**t craziness is -- it would seem -- eternal.
