thinkprogress.org — Today on CBS's Face the Nation, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) said it was “surprising” that “the one thing [Donald Rumsfeld’s memo] doesn’t raise as a possibility is to increase the number of our troops.” He said that was "critical."

Sounds like somebody just gave a big wet kiss to Israel. This man is a nut...but apparently, he's our nut. God bless, Connecticut.

That's why the republicans paid for his campaign. More deception. I'm beginning to wonder about Kerry's jokes being an accident too. This is a hostile takeover of our country.

Lieberman actually wants to win this war. That is a good thing. For whatever reasons good or bad this war was started, that is in the past. Hindsight is 20/20, and maybe we shouldn't have done the things we did. But that can't be changed now. It is too late. What we MUST do is now look to the future. The only way we can fix this mess is to actually win this war. If we accept defeat and pull out, Iran and the radical Muslims will become stronger than you can ever imagine, to quote Ben Kenobi. Does anyone with half a brain actually want the US and the UK to lose and allow that to happen? The anti-war people love to make comparisons of Iraq to the last war we lost, Vietnam. Good, lets make that comparison. Remember what happened in Vietnam within a few months after we pulled out? Millions upon millions of people were slaughtered in Cambodia. If we pull out of Iraq, this WILL happen again. Only this time it will be 1000X worse, because Iran is this friggin' close to having a nuke. And the second they get that nuke, Tel Aviv, Southampton, and Norfolk will cease to exist.Mutually Assured Destruction doesn't work on these wackos, because they WANT to die. All you have to do is read the President of Iran's words. It is right there. He himself keeps saying it, all you have to do is listen to him.

Oh, so THAT'S how Lieberman intends to get out of having supported the Bush and the Iraq war: he'll blame the administration for not Doing It Right (ie, his way).
