associatedcontent.com — If bad guys make the show, then Smallville could be in trouble. Michael Rosenbaum has confirmed that next season will be his last as Lex Luthor. Will next season also be the last for Smallville? Rosenbaum has done things with the Lex Luthor role that no other actor has, and perhaps no other actor could. It's hard to imagine Smallville without him.

@bevansdesignYou think that this season is the best? Oh god, this is the first season that I decided to watch another show over Smallville if something good is on. I only watch it to check in and see if the show is getting better yet, which it is, or at least the last episode was pretty good.

Did you see the one where Lana was in trouble, but just as Clark got there she was knocked unconscious and didn't see him use his powers to save her? That was a good one, too bad that format was almost every single time.

Smallville = Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just set in the Superman world / timeline.

Smallville is way past its prime. I feel like it just runs on sex appeal. If Krisin Kruek leaves its over.

@ kretsBecause the 1st, and 2nd seasons were the ones I watched. Two seasons of anything makes me qualified enough, if nothing interesting happens in those two seasons except minor character arcs and poorly thought out cookie-cutter episode storylines, then it doesn't deserve my time. That's all.Jimzip :D

@floridiot2I actually laughed out loud at your comment about Clark and Lana marriage episode because it was the same way for me. But I've had worse disappointments in shows that I liked before - in this little SciFi show called Farscape, they messed up the relationship between leads so bad, and they had you invested in the characters so much that it was painful to watch after the screw-ups. At least in Superman universe, it is known CK doesn't end up with Lana, so actually, there is no pork-chop and you knew if going in the episode. That should have been a saving grace. As for the rest of the show: I have to say Smallville is getting better and better as the season progresses. I think Tom Welling is an underrated actor, he definitely has "the range", he can project different emotions and very well suited to play Clark Kent. Rosenbaum is flat-out terrific. Of course, the credit should go to writers, because "if it ain't on the page, it ain't on the stage". They give actors good stuff to work with.On the downside, there are (or were) repetitions in the show, and yes, it can get whiny at times, but if you didn't have the softer aspects, you have a soulless show where CK is kicking ass constantly and is like supermad Kal-El, that would be cool for some episodes, but that aint' Superman. As a side note: I DIGG women of Smallville!!! Lana, Cloe, Lois are damn hot, and so is the hot hot MILF Anette O'Tool. But I trade all of them for that hot Kryptonian baba Reia. She "meteorocked" man!! I was like, screw the rest of the Superman story, make it two Kryptonians kicking ass having Kryptonian baby and a dog. That would be, like, supercool. Oh, all Lex'es suck except Rosenbaums. I totally agree with the slapstick comment - why do all movie versions of Lex have to be so idiotic? Smallville Lex is more sopshisticated which plays well into the rags vs riches aspect of the show... The common man actually is represented through CK who is also a farmboy from Kansas, where Lex is the ultimate European-style high nosed aristocrat, with mad capitalist bent, that gives the friction depth .. Untucked shirt (Clark) vs. trenchcoat Lex...
