Wow, this would be amazing. I was diagnosed with disease when I was younger and luckily was cured, however, the medicine has done a number on me. If a vaccination was possible that would be amazing.
It's absolutely true. My then 6 year old daughter was granted a pediatric exception back in 2003 to receive the vaccine, as the medical trials are restricted to those 18 and over. The vaccine is actually generated from the patient's own Leukemia cells. Unfortunately it requires a bone marrow sample with a minimum of 50% blasts (leukemia cells) and since my daughter was in the middle of treatment her blasts never got that high.
