Actually, I am a Romanian. Let me tell you, getting a paypal account is HELL. I had to send them proof of bill, proof of address, photo it, drivers's license ... go trough the cc verification and all. They even rejected my international VISA card a few times for no apparent reason.While i agree that the people doing this kind of stuff are supposed to be in jail , these scams would no longer be possible if the masses were educated regarding online buying.

I think you all need sensitivity training. The Roma have a different culture from all of the countries they live in. And although there are more Roma in Romania than in other countries such as Italy and England, they are still a distinct group, and keep generally separate from mainstream culture (more similar to each other than to the mainstream cultures they live in). The "unbearable music" you don't like on TV has a simple solution: turn it off, it isn't on for you. It's on for the people who like it. Like the Simpsons. Ask anyone in Europe about the Simpsons, or Beavis and Butthead and you'll get horrified looks and comments like "the most unbearable animations." If you didn't travel to experience new things, then why did you bother? Stay home in your cozy bubble of ignorance. Romania has lots of computer scammers because of Ceausescu's import policies on computers. Many companies were forced to deconstruct and rebuild computers in order to use them, therefore there are many highly skilled computer people there. Unfortunately, they can also scam just as easily. Also corruption has not yet been brought under control there. This is not "Russia's fault" or anyone's. But it's akin to discovering something better than Democracy and asking everyone in the USA to convert to it culturally and politically. How soon do you think that would happen?

Consider the source. The digg login name of this user is "subversive1" and he is being insulting, and he is saying that we should not be politically correct, after he is sarcastic by laughing and rolling his eyes. Then he dares us to digg him down (bury him). So he knows he's out of line. His whole purpose is to troll. He gives the example of only one Romanian that he knew, and we have only his word for that. His word seems very weak after all these other clues to his character. Furthermore, can you provide me with just one example of a group of people, any group of people, that has 100% perfect members? Nuns? Priests? Policemen? American WASPs? If I derived a stereotype from one nun who beat me when I was a kid, I'd be wrong, wouldn't I? Or if I decided all white WASPs were jerks because a popular football player beat me up in high school? Maybe we should spend a little more time thinking and a little less time trolling.
