Please release a MacTablet pro with Multitouch. All the goodness of a macbook pro, but with the added bonus of a convertible multitouch screen lcd. I imagine RTS style games would be very fun with a multitouch display as the interface, a man can dream can't he :-)
Ha, Ha, IBM used the name mult-touch that is true but it is not the same thing. IBM's version of multi touch if you read your link is that you can touch it with your finger or a stylus and it will work. The multi-touch the iPhone uses is something completely different and does not exist on the market. You can touch the screen in many different locations at the same time and the software can process each of those touches simultaneously, and interept more functionality from multiple contact points. Apple uses it in their trackpads a little too, that is how the right click/scroll works. If you don't get it watch this video. At first it is all just cool looking stuff but you get later in the video to see the functionality this will allow.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ftJhDBZqss
...Multi-touch was available through one of the patches way back in Panther already, and it was officially supported in Tiger out of the box. Most power-users have been using this feature for quite a while on their PowerBooks and now MacBooks."Leopard to bring multi-touch to the desktop", so if the article is stressing "bringing to desktop", then it's the hardware that should be under the spotlight (touch-sensitive monitor, etc.), and if it's stressing "Leopard", then it's really irrelevant as multi-touch was available way before Leopard already.
