I would also note that Leopard is not all you should be thinking about when considering what timeframe to buy a Macbook. There should also be a hardware upgrade this spring. While you never know with Apple, Intel is due to launch a new mobile platform called Santa Rosa this April. Basically it's a faster CPU, faster bus, nand memory, but probably the biggest improvement is the new graphics card since the GMA950 is really dated. Of course you never know when Apple is going to implement this new chipset, but my guess is they'll have a new Macbook ready to roll out for Leopard and the school buying season. Speaking of school, if you're a student Apple usually runs a special where you get a free iPod nano with purchase of a mac around the start of June. My advice is to wait. I mean it's only two months and you'll be much better software and likely better hardware and if you're a student an iPod also.
Aside from this, i would wait a few months before buying any apple computer , so that way you can get leopard and not be stuck with tiger. (like me i always buy an apple product only for them to upgrade/change something within a month) *powerpc!*
