currently using ubuntu feisty on a thinkpad so you can guess my vote, its so good that for the most part it just works. Once the battery life issue is sorted I wouldnt even hesitate to use ubuntu full time either

I like Ubuntu because I know it is a true FOSS supporter. I prefer it over SUSE because I am not happy with how Novell has disrespected the FOSS community. However, I must admit that I prefer PCLinuxOS over both because of its polish and ease of use. I have been thinking of getting a Thinkpad because I do like their hardware. If they offer one with Ubuntu, I will pick that one over one with SUSE or Windows. But, in any case, I will wipe the hardrive clean and install PCLinuxOS.
