pilkster.com — From Monday it will be possible to log on to a new domain registration service and snap up Google.com, Amazon.com and Buy.com. Can it be legal to use these trademarked domains to redirect traffic to your website?

It can hardly be legal. On the websites I run I have to be careful about trademarks, and Weblo is actually just another website. The sale of a duovirtual domain on a webpage has to be the same as if I made money on "Google.AT" (which isn't taken). But, some will have to be legal. While both Google and Microsoft are clear names of a single company, places like Buy.com cannot. Another non taken sitename is Buy.PR and as long as it's not used for similar sales and logo any one can use it.Duovirtuallity thought, might be a profitable prospect for lawyers.

I have been both excited about the possibilities of Weblo and frustrated by the downtime, which I believe is about to be resolved. We truly will have to wait and see what becomes of this concept. I for one however will be doing less waiting and more seeing as I build my bit of the empire. To discuss all things Weblo, I have started www.WebloForum.com Check it out.
