Pschkqitzsough, that's entirely the point. Heroin users probably did all sorts of things (creating lots of correlations), but that necessarily mean that any of them are what got the person to do heroin (not equal causation). If Anslinger wanted to be even more of a dick he could have claimed that alcohol or cigs were gateway drugs, at least according to his flawed logic that correlation equals causation.
Today, I have read that a group of adolescents fueled by alcohol raped a girl for over 2 hours.I also read that another person, raped this girl who was JUST RAPED, and he was under the influence of Alcohol.I also heard that there's this group of people, called "MuMM" - Maritimers Unite for Medical Marijuana, they put together a very nice show on Canada day that brought a lot of people together, they all looked very happy and relaxed, fighting for a better world.It's quite clear where the evil lays.Aside from, you know.. the government ;-)

So the more that you've gotten from society the more you should keep? Having an underclass that doesn't need to steal food to feed their children is very important to a stable society. Giving those children a solid education builds the middle class. Getting adults in job training and higher ed builds the middle class a little more quickly.It always seems that rethugicans are afraid that there won't be enough of the poor to flip their burgers for next to nothing.
