I leave my laptop running overnight because I know it'll take five minutes or more to get things going in the morning -- not just booting up, but launching the various apps I start the day with, downloading my overnight email, filtering out the spam, and otherwise "getting settled."

I have always turned off my computers when I go home from work or go to sleep, although it was not really to just save power. Why have your electronic equipment use up their lifespan while you are not there? Especially if you are leaving those Digg windows open and running your CPU at 90% ;)

I suppose a big topic like this finally makes me a little more aware. But I'll be honest for many of nights, I fall asleep to my MASSIVE iTUNES library. I'll keep better dibs on it FO SHO.
