yup what this guy is doing is fairly typical now days. when you have a scanner that can convert your line art in pencil to look just like it was inked (or better), what purpose is there in putting that effort and expense into inking?as he said some are going all digital, which is great however some prefer the feel of paper. most the artists i work with on a regular basis still do their drawing on paper then color in Painter or Photoshop.I guess its time for me to start working on improving my drawing skills.

Yeah, he puts us inkers and colorists out of work by using a computer...Why I aughta.....[cartoonist holds up kangaroo which kicks the inker][kangaroo stands on inkers foot and pummels head with boxing gloves] [kangaroo bounces away. Anvil falls from no-where onto inker] [followed by 1000 TON lead weight]"....OK! I give up....What are you doing with that giant hammer? "[cartoonist whacks inker with giant hammer][Inker is now accordion shaped and staggering around] [cartoonist pulls large orchestral symbols and smashes inker between them] "Mommy!" [cartoonist takes out giant bellows and blows inker out of frame][music]

digital art has come a long way, I remember in the early 90s I was still cutting stuff and setting it up on a board to take a photo then sending it to print!I can see why a log of artists are using their computers more often, makes it easier and faster to draw.Learn how to draw anything http://www.thegluckmethod.com
