Hmm... On iPhone, I seem to have OTA music from my entire iTunes collection while on EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi, using the Simple Media application on my iPhone and desktop. Not to mention Internet radio. Mobile Safari is wonderful, as is proper rendering of HTML e-mail. Visual Voicemail NOW, not someday. 3-1/2 inch display. Wireless syncing with my desktop. A plethora of VNC and ssh terminal apps are already available for the iPhone. Best portable media player ever. Software updates directly from the manufacturer, not who-knows-when-if-ever through a third party. What's not to like?
because some idiots on both mac and windows think we GOTTA like iPhone and its policies because we use Mac laptops/desktops/servers.No such thing. It is a horrible wasted opportunity by Apple, they keep wasting it and they could be Microsoft Windows of Smart Phone scene if they wanted to...Sadly, they chicken again. When you use Macs and run OS X, you know what kind of a wasted opportunity when you lock down a OS X mobile. Windows or Linux people can't even imagine the meaning of disallowing multi tasking on OS X.
Crash has nothing to do with network. It has too much to do with Apple geniuses running apps as UID 0 on an Unix background system which normally (since 1970s!) can have non super user processes. That is where OS X stability comes from, no Application needs to run as superuser so it can't crash the entire OS.
