Congress is pushing for the bailout and I hope Bush will veto it. The savings and loans failed and collapsed under corrupt and improper banking practices. The same should happen here, it will not have any more effect than the savings and loan failures did back then. Congress is being lobbied by the banking industry to bail them out and you and I are paying for it. Let the free market prevail, there are a lot of people still paying their mortgages, just like me and many of you. We will not get a free payout on our mortgage, only higher taxes to pay for this scam. There were screams of gloom and doom during the savings and loan failure, it was no big deal, the economy and business continued.
