readwriteweb.com — Last.fm today announced a website relaunch. The London-based company has added four new features: Events system (e.g. concerts), Free MP3s, Flash player radio,and a Taste-o-meter. Last.fm hopes these new features, plus the re-design, will make it easier to find and share music - as well as being turned on to the latest live music in your area.

I'd like it better if they added more music. Half the artists I like are listed with no available music.

The "FM" part sort of implies that yes, it's a radio. And you expected otherwise? Hmmm.Personally, I love it. I use Last.fm to keep track of music I listen to in iTunes, on my iPod, and on Pandora, so I have all my listening habits recorded in one place. I guess there's not much point in keeping track of what I listen to, but it's strangely satisfying to nerds like me.

I agree, Last.FM has helped me find several artists so far that I really like (Poets of the Fall, Apulanta, TikTak, Apocalyptica, Adema, Gorillaz, and probably a few others). Though for some reason Last.fm really likes to recommend Finnish artists/bands to me (the first 4 I listed are all Finnish).
