Feels steampunk-ish.(Steampunk: metal, steam, dirt, gigantismCyberpunk: plastic, electricity, color, speed)Or maybe it's just the spinning "blade" that gives that impression, now that I look at the close-ups.
There is a large dragline operating just off of I-80 in Wyoming, near the Bridger power plant, between Rawlins and Rock Springs. Well, it was just next to I-80 a month ago. It was pretty dang cool to watch in action. Suprisingly quiet, and it swings around rather quickly, but that's probably because what seemed close to me was still probably 400-800 yrds away...

This earth mover is just an incredible thing to see even in a photo. I can't belive humans can build and even maintain such a machine for excavation. I saw some photos also at http://www.excavation-equipment.com

This would make an awesome Transformer. Somebody tell Michael Bay about this thing's existence!
