Apple Zealots are ragging on the Zune more than ever since, instead of seeing a new video iPod with a large touch sensitive screen that would have made the Zune look inferior, Jobs took that technology and put it in a $500 phone that he wants to sell them. The phone maxes out at 8G, so it really isn't even a video iPod replacement. Just a nano iPod upgrade.
So......we're calling it "squirting"?You buy a zune, install the software that has an asian girl having an orgasm and some other girl blowing a dude as part of the images in the install package and advertising. Then in order to join "the social" you have to "squirt" or be "squirted" by strangers on a bus?I'm surprise folks are lining up for this one.
@geekeeI am sorry simple logic is beyond your grasp. Why would you need to play your music on more than five computers? I have five, but don't play music on the servers.Your "simple analogy" is only simple in the respect that is "retarded" to use your term. The whole point of this is not about the limitations of DRM. It is that MS is promoting a limited feature. Apple does NOT promote sharing, does NOT say in its ads that it is "social" or that you can share. They are very clear that it is for you to use personally on your computer(s)/devices. Nothing deceptive. And in fact, you can put the music on as many iPods as your want.MS built a feature specifically for sharing music, they use it in their ads and even their tag line. They are heavily promoting an focusing on a feature that is broken and limited. They are intentionally being deceptive. That is the point. Additionally, you can use an iPod/iTunes without ever encountering DRM at all. Rip your own cds. No limitations what so ever. The Zune DRM exists at the hardware level as well as the tracks. If you create your own tracks and want to share them with a friend, if you "squirt" them, they are subject to DRM. With the iPod/iTunes you are not forced to use DRM ever. Only if you purchase tracks from iTMS. With the Zune DRM is omnipresent. At least with regards to their central feature.Your "simple analogy" is broken and flawed. Apply a little common sense and you find it all makes sense.

Thank you music companies for strengthening Apple's control of the music market.
