geeksofdoom.com — Some of the funniest moments we experience in real life are the unintentional ones ? sometimes awkward, sometimes embarrassing. Those unique moments are nearly impossible to recreate, and often lost in translation when attempting to convey to another person. The movie has one of the best representations of women in a comedy that I have seen. Usually they are just portrayed as pretty and stupid or pretty and smart. This had fully realized characters, the older sister part is just so awesome. The women are not always right and the guys aren't stupid idiots, they are more like real people. Well the friends are like real stoners anyway. The movie also takes place in LA where "beautiful girls" are a lot more prevalent than elsewhere. She normally wouldn't have hooked up with Seth Rogen, but the movie explains why she does and she spends most of the movie being pretty disgusted with him. It isn't your usual comedy at all. If you have seen Freaks and Geeks you will understand the humor. If you haven't seen Freaks and Geeks put it on your Queue right now. I thought it was a lot funnier than 40 year old virgin which I was disappointed by.

@ElectricGrandpa: You are correct!@ColonelJessup: You are a complete moron if you talk so. Do you even live a normal life? Just look around you and you will see millions of examples where the most filthy/dirty/lazy/jobless guy gets the most hottest chick in town. I dont know how it happens but it happens....

I laughed three times during the movie.

I'm going to see this later this week and am actually looking forward to it. If it was anyone else directing/starring in the movie, I would definitely NOT be looking forward to it. Leave it to Judd Apatow to take a cliche situation and make it funny as hell. :)

Just another hackneyed shock-'em-up comedy. While the fat and greasy Americans were laughing it up in the theatre, I sat there deadpan, as the gratuitous use of the word "f**k" doesn't really tittilate and excite me. I guess it's the puritan upbringing you all have. This is not, despite the all the hype, the best comedy ever. This is not, despite the hype, the defining moment for American comedy. This is another one of those "I'll forget about it in a year" type of deals. Nothing to see here folks. Move along.
