Sounds like a good idea, until you realize, all you have to do is drop a bunker buster bomb on the entrance, so the entrance collapses, sealing all the aircraft and everyone inside to their DOOM. Well, the people probably have other tunnels out, but collapsed debris pretty much shuts down a runaway. Until its cleared away and repaired, just like any other runway.

The idea seems to be that they can launch attacks from right near the DMZ and cross the border quickly, turn around and land somewhere further north.

They say that there are 2 more runways in mountains. I found one, still looking for nr.3
