Interesting....Don't know where you got your figures, but I think I will use the NHTSA. My 2001 Volvo S80, less than a decade old, is 5 star rated across the board, and was in the top five that year. 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005...etc...same thing.
He grabs the wheel probably realizing they're going over. I think he grabs it to brace himself. Seems at that point everyone already knew they were going over.
