But its getting them play. "I gotta feeling" is a total club song, designed for pre-parties, drunken nights, and high school/college girls getting ready for a night on the town. Nobody cared when they were making interesting, complex music. It's the story of "Hip-Pop" today. They gotta pay the bills somehow, and if gearing their music towards teenage suburban girls with entirely too much disposable cash then they'll do it. Personally I like the song, but then again I've got a wide range of tastes. Even country.
