The way I understand this, Telomeres is the "fuse" to a self-destruct sequence that destroys a cell when it can no longer divide reliably.This happens so that cells don't become cancerous, but at the cost of ageing.But I don't understand how this function can be manipulated to destroy a strain of cells that don't self-destruct when they should..
