cnn.com — CNN interviews Kevin Smith "Smith tantalized fans by promising a "Clerks" sequel at the end of the "Dogma" credits. He later changed his mind." "I was just like, that's a sacred cow, and I shouldn't really mess with the first movie"

Plus, the movie was only in about 2,000 American theatres. I wonder what "foreign sales" he is talking about? Its not out in the UK yet AFAIK, of course. The last Ive heard was a late August release date.I like to come over to visit my parents in N.C., USA during the summer around July/early August because we always go see the movies together, and thats when the good movies come out there. Well, my bro and I went to see Clerks II, haha.Im sure Ill watch it again when it comes out back home though.

I think the dick and fart jokes are exactly what people were hoping for. I'll own it... I'm juvenile when it comes to those movies. What makes me squirm are those awful dramatic moments that I don't think really belong in a Clerks movie. Fortunately they managed to keep them reasonably short and curbed the discomfort with a little humor.

He sold out long ago: rehashing the Clerks storyline, putting out dolls, shirts, anything with his signature, comics, animated series, and reissued DVDs. You fanboys just eat it up. More importantly, you sheeple blow your allowance purchasing these trinkets. KS doesn't have to put out another original concept ever again, Sheep.

honestly anyone who thinks Jersey Girl was a step in the "right" direction needs to sit down and shut up. That movie was total crap. I mean, seriously they had George Carlin in it and it still managed to never, ever be funny. In order for Kevin to "Grow up" as you say I believe he would have to make a successful "horror" film. Yeah, stick him with something interesting with a bad script and see if he really is a "good" director. All of the greatest directors have at one time or another "had" to face making a movie they didn't want to. Until KS can do that he is just guy with some ideas and some film. Granted they are amusing ideas and for the most part make amusing (and somewhat campy) films. But he is not a great director and I really don't believe he ever will be, so maybe he should just stick to where he is comfortable, on the low end of the totem pole.No offense meant Kevin. But it is true. Sorry.

I'd like to know what happened to Veronica. Caitlin was clearly going to have mental issues and probably never see Dante again at the end of the original so no need for that. And Olaf was just visiting the last time, would be quite a coincidence if he just happened to be visiting again. Good memory though fellas. I really thought the girl that played Veronica in the first Clerks was hotter than Rosario and I had immagined that relationship would continue but since Dante remained a lazy slacker and added some extra pounds to boot I guess she had a reason to leave him. heheh. He wasn't ready to get out of his "funk" with her I guess. Or maybe it was just the 37 dicks thing?

Im talking more about the relationship between Dante and Randal. The plot with Dante and the 2 females was not the entire movie.
