SkyeWolfie I am a knew Digger so my knowledge of the Digg Nation is still small, but what I know I will share with you,Digg was started by technology advocates posting about upcoming technology, Social Media. and other Internet related stuff. But Kevin Rose with the algorithm for Digg made it into Mass Media posts indexing service. So unless it is a Mass Media story it rarely makes the front page of Digg. Case and point the Wikipedia Cyber Stalking Digg, which a very important issue. With 154 Digg it is not on the front page and probably never make it because most Diggers cannot even see it. http://tinyurl.com/56hk9bMeanwhile industry leaders like the founder of Wikipedia Jimmy Wales, Danny Sullivan of SEJ, Durva an important editor on Wikipedia Dugg the story, as well as many Social Media and SEO professionals Dugg it.Digg was created for the people by the people, not to index CNN, New York Post, and Washington Post, but to index Social Media. This is a protest against Kevin Rose, and if he cannot do his job as a leader of Digg, he should advocate his position and let someone else lead Digg Nation!
Thanks for clarifying this, but I guess the etymology was erred from the start and probably by Kevin Rose.Nation means a group of people with common goals. Digg nation should mean all the active Digg members, but it is not. It is about a show of top Power users and Power Diggs. Power is only strong when it shared not when it is in the hands of one person or one top Digg.
