mashable.com — On Friday, Kevin Rose spoke via video link at TheNextWeb conference in Amsterdam, outlining Digg’s plans for expansion. The good news is that they plan to add images - one of the most demanded features. The mixed news is that they plan expansion into product reviews and more diverse topics.

you have a seriously overinflated sense of self worth tbh... Digg is a business, a very successful business that frankly, you have no part in. If you're lucky, you can call yourself a customer.. but even then, unless you've click on an advertising link, you don't even count as that. So wind your neck in, and accept whatever the owners of Digg dish out. It's their business, and it's up to them what they do with it.Man, kids like you annoy the s**t outa me.

Product reviews sounds great. Restaurant reviews could be good too, but that may be a little harder to make work well.

WHAT!? Cuteoverload.com is making 50 mill? How? Alexa shows my puny sites rivals them in traffic count...

@hello2usirSo would you say that the definition of 'geek' is totally relative to your current level of expertise? As in the more you learn the stupider everybody else gets, and once somebody steps outside your field of choice they lose any and all credit?..Well aren't you just super-cool.

i think that its a good idea to expand beyond tech and sports topics to non news topics. digg looks like its gonna be the next google and has been looking that way for some time.

Yeah, considering most authors can't submit a story without typos that seems like a great idea.

There be another advertising revolution, for example subliminal ads implanted in your dreams.

Restaurant reviews? What's next?Reviews just add too much commercialism to the site

Why would digg want to expand to restaurants and reviews? It's a highly competitive market already. Companies like http://www.insiderpages.com and http://www.getveq.com are doing a pretty good job.

Reviews from users would be a great idea. But I'd think the Digg community may not reflect the general population.http://www.cat-urine-solutions.com
