I think the problem is that in interviews it's usually just Kevin Rose talking about Digg or it's Alex, Jeff and Dan talking about TRS. When it's a TRS interview, Alex is the one who does all the talking, he is, in essence, the front man of TRS. So they had two people, used to being the front men, trying to play supporting roles and I don't think they ever said who was supposed to do most of the talking, so they both just acted as front men, which doesn't work.
@ UNL1M1T3D : It's not like I'm constantly recording the show just incase something internet worthy gets aired. If you don't believe me, it's a character named Talia (a cop in Llanview) was trying to explain to someone how another character was a techy and she was trying to prove her point by saying he used Digg. Somewhat unremarkable, but a national television mention nonetheless.
Agreed, the fallon@diggnation was a lot more awkward, it seemed as though by the time they did diggnation@fallon they were already friends and comfortable around each other; though it still came off as a bit awkward at times. I think we were just rooting too hard for them.It was kind of like watching our kids in a play, you were hoping for the best and noticing all of the tiny problems that maybe others did not.
@dn11 - I thought they went on a tad too long about the Palm Pre. I wonder how much Palm had to pay for that, it was worth hundreds of thousands in ad rev.I'm surprised the guy didn't talk more about Engadget itself.
