And is that bill going to pass? No. As usual, Democrats are pulling the wool over the eyes of their sheep-like followers. They believe that just making the gesture will mollify their devotees. And they are right. It has always worked before, why not now? As long as they have enough clueless dupes, the Democrats will remain in power by just promoting symbolism over substance.
@broom sucess isnt exact the point here. In the first time in four f**king years, Bush doesnt have a red stamp legislator who closes their eyes and plugs their ears, passing whatever the hell Bush wants them to.
Well calling someone like Osama a terrorist, okay, whatever. But what about that librarian put on the "Terror Watch List" and forbidden to buy any more books until she went to a hearing all because she--get this--bought books?! It's on the frontpage also at the moment. So many of you are so foolish; it makes me sad. The Iraq was IS making more terrorists. Even Jim Talent, Neocon Extraordinaire and former (one term) Senator from my state, MO, conceded that (with a standoffish "but that's why we have to win!") during his failed re-election campaign last year. This invasion of Iraq shouldn't have happened. "You'd rather live in a world with Saddam in power in Iraq?!" Assuming Saddam would still have been in power four years later...yes.
if it was anyone but Kennedy pushing it maybe it could be something. When are the Dems going to figure out that Kennedy needs to be taken out of the spotlight? This guy could screw up a wet dream.
