crooksandliars.com — Olbermann delivered this commentary with fire and passion while highlighting how Rumsfeld’s comments echoes other times in our world’s history when anyone who questioned the administration was coined as a traitor, unpatriotic, communist or any other colorful term.

Anti-immigration Lou Dobbs? Democrat-ridiculing Stewart? Partisan? Please. And if criticizing the political climate that silences dissent makes you partisan, it's because this administration has politicized the war on terror. If there is anyone to blame for what is going on right now, it is Republicans ? not because of partisanship, but because they control the executive and legislative branches of government.

Keith Olbermann is an idiot who couldn't handle sports at ESPN and somehow buffaloed PMSNBC into hiring him. He only says what his writers write and has no original thoughts of his own. The reason you never see his back is that you'll see the string that the producers pull when they want him to say something. That said, Rummy is by far our best SECDEF ever. He has a better vision of what the real world is and is going to be than anyone else in the Bush admin. His words are the truth. Anyone who can't see this is most likely a seething, foaming at the mouth Bush hater.

"That's pretty telling, though. Why do conservatives bother here? The demographic this site serves doesn't include rich, balding, old men (the majority of the conservative party, that and flat out ignorants) "You, sir, are a moron.

Attn Xenoblue: It's because most of us don't agree with you. Who told you that 'democracy' is a 50/50 opinion split? Look up the definition of 'majority rule', notice how you are not in the majority (here on Digg or in the 'real world', of which Digg is a mirror), but the politics you associate yourself with are definitely ruling. See how that situation is undemocratic. Then shut up about the damn majority. Thank you.

Yeah - and communism with the left. What can it mean?

Wow! I can't believe that the conservative crowd hasn't marked this as inaccurate yet!

Rumsfeld has earned this public ridicule. Most Americans are now seeing through this white collar warrior who marches with his addled and shameless hermits, completely unaware of the ultimate consequence. If the November elections don't remove this incompetent legislature, our kids, and grand kids may not be able to repair the damage.

It is SO wonderful to *finally* see a news anchor with a spine. And his job as a news anchor aside, it's refreshing to hear an eloquent, uplifting and intellegent political speech/monolouge with sentences containing more than five basic words (none of which should have over six letters, of course). I'd only seen Olbermann's show a couple times when I saw this segment, but I plan to be a regular viewer from now on. On another note; this may be inappropriate, but I am *this* close to e-mailing Olbermann and asking if he needs someone to be the mother of his children. ...Sorry, just had to share that.

@TubeTechnoHere's the deal . . . This decade, the liberals are actually right . . . Because those jerkoffs in the White House who call themselves conservatives . . . they're REALLY wrong lately. If you want to differ on Olbermann's badass attack on Rumsfeld you better be ready to find fault in his argument: "We will not walk in fear - one, of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of un-reason." This is exactly what this decade's White House is pushing, fear and mindless, animalistic 'fight or flight' response to the troubles of the world. Well, I agree with Olbermann that we can't let an 'age of unreason' prevail. O'Reilly, on the other hand . . . he'd probably say something mindless, arrogant and hostile because he's not as smart as Olbermann and he can't handle the big picture. Digg users are smart, tech-savvy people who don't like stupid folks like that. Deal with it.

I never associated myself as a fan of common news sources but was amazed by the stoic and fearless performance of Mr. Oberman. I do believe his words to be to late and possibly that his criticisms to go virtually unheard or worse ignored. It is my hope that it is to ring true and be forever on the minds of the people who ran to Rumsfeld and Bush to save them. The Iraqi war, the World Trade Center, the Murrah Federal Building, the Branch Davidian massacre, countless strikes by Special Forces against civilian targets. All acts of transgression, misdirection, hatred, profiteering and violations of Posse Comitatus as well as crimes against humanity. Crimes against your personal freedoms are only a small and distant premise. Crimes against the people of the World can be counted on the news as daily death tolls. I am no longer an american. I believe it is better to be without a country than to live in fear of the one you were born with. Americans will have to be afraid to show the cover of their passports. Those who'll find out that you were born and raised in such a vile country as this will want revenge for what this administration has done to the rest of the world.
